Duties
- Lead and supervise daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution processes.
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Manage transportation planning and coordination with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and carriers to ensure timely delivery and pickup schedules.
- Oversee procurement, purchasing, and materials management to maintain optimal stock levels aligned with demand planning.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems such as AS400 to monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and analyze supply chain data for continuous improvement.
- Supervise warehouse staff, including training on forklift operation, dispatching procedures, and safety protocols; foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Monitor budget adherence related to warehouse operations while managing freight costs, transportation management systems (TMS), and logistics expenses.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision with strong leadership skills in supervising teams within a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles including inventory management, demand planning, production planning, and logistics.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400, transportation management systems (TMS), and supply chain analytics tools.
- Expertise in process improvement techniques such as Lean methodologies and continuous improvement strategies.
- Strong understanding of freight shipping & receiving procedures, dispatching, fleet management, procurement processes, and warehouse distribution.
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while optimizing inventory control and transportation costs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments including purchasing, materials management, and logistics teams. Pay: $49,292.86 - $59,363.45 per year
