Our Warehouse Manager will be regarded as the vital part of the supply chain process. The person oversees the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide range of goods including spare parts, wear parts and consumables of various kind, origin and durability. Further this position includes all matters relating to safety and environmentally compliant plant operations.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Knows, understand, and follows all Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements
- Cooperates and negotiates with customers, suppliers, transport companies as well as Production, Material Handling and Maintenance staff.
- Plans, coordinates and monitors the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods.
- Controls efficient utilization of space and mechanical handling equipment, ensures that quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met.
- Forecasts requirements and initiates corrective actions.
- Has a clear understanding of the company's targets contributes by proper warehouse organization and operation.
- Is responsible for the selection / implementation of automated and computerized systems to facilitate and enable workflows and cost transparency.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Plans actual and future material requirements in collaboration with Process Operation, Materials Handling and Maintenance department.
- Produces regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis or on request by Management.
- Maintains standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, to ensure safe and environmentally compatible storage and handling of goods.
- Supports planned maintenance activities of vehicles, machinery and mobile equipment.
- Secures property and especially warehouse operation by developing protection, access policies and procedures.
- Creates and maintains a culture of continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Approx. 3 to 5 years’ experience in industrial warehouse operation
- Approx. 3 to 5 years’ experience in operations of warehouse equipment (forklift, crane, etc.)
- Knowledge of SAP preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) preferred
- Data Entry Skills, Data Entry Management, and Data Processing
- Must be able to walk long distances and stand and work for more than 2 hours in tough environmental conditions (high temperature, high humidity, noise, & dust), lift 50 Lbs. and withstand heights of up to 500 feet
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC-card
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
