Warehouse Operations Manager

About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Site Leader to represent Quince at our 3PL fulfillment center in Buena Park, CA, where the warehouse is currently underperforming against key operational standards. This individual will be responsible for providing direct on-the-ground leadership and intervention to stabilize, optimize, and elevate site performance.

This role requires a strong operator who can diagnose root causes of inefficiency, implement corrective processes, and drive accountability with both 3PL management and floor teams. The ideal candidate will combine deep operational expertise with a bias for action, ensuring the facility meets Quince’s standards for accuracy, speed, and cost efficiency. You will be joining an onsite team of Quince employees tasked with turning around warehouse operations through peak season.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Quince’s on-site leader and primary liaison at the 3PL facility, responsible for stabilizing and improving warehouse operations.
• Conduct a full operational assessment to identify gaps in performance, labor management, and process execution.
• Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to address quality, throughput, and efficiency issues.
• Partner closely with 3PL leadership to retrain, re-staff, or restructure workflows where needed to meet service expectations.
• Track and report key metrics daily (productivity, SLA adherence, cost per order, error rate) and provide actionable insights to internal Quince teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with B2B, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Operations to align on goals and ensure transparent communication on site performance.
• Escalate persistent operational challenges to internal and external stakeholders, driving resolution with urgency.
• Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and performance excellence within the 3PL environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience, including experience turning around underperforming sites or teams.
• Proven ability to implement process improvement, workflow redesign, and labor optimization in fast-paced warehouse settings.
• Experience working directly with 3PL partners, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Results-driven mindset with demonstrated ability to achieve measurable operational improvements.
• Proficiency in WMS platforms and data reporting tools; Excel or BI familiarity preferred.
• Ability to thrive independently, take decisive action, and drive accountability in challenging environments.

Additional Details

• This is a contract role (non-hourly/exempt).
• On-site presence required in Buena Park, CA.
• Occasional extended hours or weekend presence may be required during peak or transition periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $145,000.00 per year
