Warehouse Picker/Packer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Picker/Packer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders with speed and accuracy, preparing items for shipment, and supporting warehouse operations as needed. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and is excited to contribute to a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Fulfillment & Packing

• Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order slips.
• Securely package items for shipment using appropriate materials (boxes, wrap, etc.).
• Place shipping labels on boxes and double-check for errors before shipment.

Shipping & Documentation

• Pack and process small FedEx orders.
• For large pallet orders: calculate case counts and weight, print pallet labels, and communicate finalized order details (order number, case count, weight, dimensions) to the Sales team.
• Scan signed Bills of Lading (BOL) and send to the main office; file hard copies accordingly.
• Create custom labels for large customer accounts with special requirements.

Quality Control & Error Resolution

• Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
• Ensure correct items and quantities are packed.
• Identify and resolve shipping discrepancies; escalate issues to management when needed.

Production Support

• Assist with production tasks as needed, including labeling, pricing, boxing, sorting, pallet wrapping, picking, checking, and packing.
• Perform additional warehouse tasks assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Safety & Organization

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, etc. — forklift operation not required).

Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior warehouse, fulfillment, or small business operations experience preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Able to stand for extended periods, lift/move packages of varying weights, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in picking, packing, labeling, and shipping.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and keep work areas orderly.
• Communication Skills: Able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Basic Math Skills: Comfort with basic counting, weights, and measurements.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
