Overview:
The Production Manager at Connect Housing Blocks is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently and safely. This role includes managing production schedules, supervising staff and maintaining quality standards.
What You'll Do:

Oversees the production process and day-to-day workflow of Finishing team.

Plans, organizes, and coordinates the areas’ workload to ensure all materials are available and projects under his/her supervision are completed on budget and schedule, within the company’s established quality standards.

Conducts pre-shift meetings, assigns safe, clear, and measurable activities to team members.

Ensures team members follow pre-assigned scheduling including start time, break times, and end times. Reviews and approves associates time cards daily and ensures all approvals and corrections are complete in accordance with the company’s policy.

Reports all attendance and performance issues to Human Resources and collaborates to create an action plan or administer discipline in accordance with company policy.

Facilitates training to ensure employees can perform their assigned tasks and duties. Trains and directs employees on optimum and safe use of the equipment including Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

Maintains communication between management, employees and HR Manager ensure necessary policies are followed and understood.

Makes sure all equipment and tools are in proper working condition and repaired as necessary to avoid downtime or delays.

Update the progress on the production schedule daily and report to Director of Production and Schedule Manager.

Manage, maintain, and execute the Modular Traveler. Communicate and coordinate with other productions managers to facilitate modifications and repairs due to production and design issues.

Tracks and manages defects in products received from rough in and prefab and reports quality issues to the Director of Production.

Plans, monitors, and reviews production levels/performance metrics of production associates.

Follows and enforces the company’s safety culture, policies, quality, and standards.

Reports any safety issues to the Safety Coordinator and promotes good reporting practices within the team.
Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience:
5+ years of experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.

Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply general mathematical concepts to production and operational situations.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including standing, sitting, bending, and lifting equipment up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
Work Environment:
This role is based in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment. The noise level can be moderate to high, and safety gear may be required.

Target Salary: $90,000 to $95,000
