Warehouse Quality Control Lead/WMS Trainer

Company Overview

The World's Best Cheeses is one of the leading importers and distributors of Specialty Cheeses, Chocolates, Crackers, and other Gourmet Products in the USA. With over 100 employees, 2,500 customers, 3 warehouses across the country, and over 4,000 different products the day to day operations of our warehouses is no small task.

We currently in the middle of implementing a new Warehouse Management Software system in our warehouses across the country. The new system will include barcode scanning, and many other exciting features that will greatly improve our inventory, picking accuracy and in generally greatly improve our quality control.

During this rollout, and on an ongoing basis, we need an intelligent and detail oriented individual to assist with training and implementation to insure a smooth rollout and optimal usage.

On top of duties relating to the computer system, the individual will also be very involved in the overall quality control of the warehouse to insure that all of the high end products arrive in perfect condition on time.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Management System (WMS) Training & Implementation

Serve as the primary trainer and system champion for warehouse staff across all locations.

Develop and deliver hands-on training sessions for Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Replenishment, Cycle Counting, and Shipping modules.

Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of system configuration, barcode workflows, and label printing.

Collaborate with ERP/WMS implementation partners to ensure warehouse workflows, unit of measure conversions, and item attributes are properly configured.

Document and standardize SOPs and training materials for all warehouse functions related to the WMS.

Conduct post-go-live support sessions, shadowing end users and providing one-on-one coaching to reinforce system adoption.

Monitor system usage and provide feedback to identify training gaps or process improvement opportunities.

Assist in data validation, including item master accuracy, bin location assignments, and barcode verification.

Ensure compliance with GS1 labeling, lot tracking, and FIFO/FEFO procedures where applicable.

Troubleshoot scanning or system issues in collaboration with IT support and escalate technical problems as needed.

Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance system efficiency, accuracy, and user confidence.

Warehouse Operations & Quality Control

Verify that picking and shipping accuracy meets company standards for key accounts and high-value customers.

Conduct cycle counts and date rotation checks to maintain accurate inventory and product freshness.

Follow up on returns and damaged product investigations to ensure warehouse stock meets quality standards.

Reinforce warehouse best practices and quality-control procedures related to product handling, temperature, and safety.

This is an onsite position with no option for remote work.

Please note the majority of the time will be spent in a refrigerated cooler.

HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday 8am-5pm. Friday 8am-4pm with a 30 minute break for lunch

-Health insurance will be covered for one individual with WBC paying 80% and they employee paying 20%, additional family members may be added at employees full expense

-401K plan with 4% match is available after 1 year

-Paid time off benefits start after 60 days. They include vacation after 6 mo, personal days, and major holidays.

-2 weeks vacation and 5 personal days

Paid Holidays include

New Years: 1.5 days, Presidents day, Memorial day, July 4th, Good Friday (half day), Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas (1.5 days)
