Key Roles & Responsibilities
Operations
-
Direct, coordinate and achieve service level objectives related to the warehousing operations

Manage and move operation from 3PL (outsource provider) to in-house service. Supervise team to accomplish on-time and on-budget shipment

Maintain storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements

Accomplish warehouse and organization / customers’ mission by completing related requirements as needed

Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and team members’ performance
-
Maintain records for all inbound receipts/outbound dispatch per documented processes as well as non-conforming products, purchase orders, advance shipment note or damaged shipments
System and Reporting

Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems

Produce reports and spreadsheets on trend analysis, progress order status, related inventory and distribution control activities

Compile weekly reports centred correctly towards primary company KPIs for safety practices and acknowledgement

Meet warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements
Leadership and Training

Provide recommendations on new subordinate hires and ensure the availability of all resources required to perform assigned tasks and activities

Supervise subordinate staff, assign work activities, monitor performance and review results

Act as a coach to subordinates, identify their training and career development, recommend training courses and follow-up on their personnel records such as timesheets, discipline, vacations, leaves and absenteeism

Perform other job-related duties and projects as assigned
Qualification/Experiences/Skills
Minimum requirements
Education & Professional Qualification
-
Diploma in a relevant field
-
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
Professional Experience
-
3-5 years’ experience in similar role in the warehousing industry
-
Previous supervisory experience is preferred
Geographic Experience
-
Middle East/GCC experience is preferred
Computer Skills
-
Working knowledge of Office and web applications
-
Experience in using modern WMS systems including barcoding, Master data, RF, etc..
Language Skills
-
Fluent in English - both written and spoken
-
Other languages are preferred
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge
-
Understanding of Good Warehouse practice (Safe handling and operations, Material Handling Equipment – MHE, racking, etc.)
