Key Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor warehouse supervisors and team leaders to ensure optimal performance, productivity, and alignment with company goals.

Develop and implement strategic work plans and KPIs for warehouse teams to achieve departmental objectives.

Oversee receiving, dispatch, inventory control, and space optimization to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Monitor internal and external communications, including handling escalated client requests, resolving issues, and ensuring service levels are met.

Maintain direct communication with key clients to ensure operational requirements are met, including generating and reviewing service reports.
-
Conduct routine inspections of warehouse operations to assess workflow, enforce safety and compliance standards, and implement corrective actions.

Coordinate manpower planning with warehouse management, including requesting temporary labor when required.

Manage procurement requests for warehouse supplies (e.g., packaging materials, tools, office stationery), ensuring timely availability within budget.

Balance workforce deployment and resource allocation across shifts and zones to prevent underutilization or overload.

Oversee scheduling of shifts, vacations, and overtime, ensuring consistent coverage across operations.

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations, and promote a culture of safety and accountability.

Lead shift start-up meetings in the absence of section supervisors, addressing operational challenges, updates, and safety alerts.

Act as the escalation point for complex operational issues, resolving them independently or escalating to warehouse management.

Participate in performance evaluations and development planning of team leaders and key staff.

Analyze and report on warehouse performance metrics, including occupancy rates, productivity trends, and efficiency improvements.

Support warehouse operations as needed, including equipment handling or operational tasks, provided legal and safety requirements are met.

Prepare and verify flow diagrams for each product/process category under the Food Safety Management System.

Initiate and supervise product recalls to ensure effective implementation.

Review storage practice revisions to address potential food safety hazards.
-
Maintain a safe working environment, free from physical, chemical, and biological contamination.

Report food safety incidents promptly to supervisors.
-
Ensure PPE compliance with hygiene programs.
-
Implement and maintain the quality management system.
-
Handle customer complaints effectively.
-
Ensure compliance with GDP/GMP standards and instructions.
-
Comply with OH&S policies, standards, objectives, and training requirements.
-
Report all incidents (accidents or near misses).
-
Participate in relevant risk assessments.
-
Comply with environmental management standards, objectives, and training requirements.
-
Report environmental incidents immediately.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
-
Minimum 7 years of warehouse/logistics experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
-
Practical experience in cold-storage environments (refrigerated and frozen warehouses).
-
Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
-
Food safety awareness.
-
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-
Proven ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
-
Strong understanding of safety and compliance regulations.
