Warehouse Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our logistics and distribution team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficient materials handling, order picking, shipping and receiving, and operating heavy equipment within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and mechanical systems to ensure smooth and safe warehouse functions.

Duties

• Perform order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately fulfill customer orders.
• Load and unload shipments utilizing forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
• Operate cranes and other heavy machinery for materials handling and movement within the warehouse.
• Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper materials handling and documentation.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and mechanical tools to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
• Assist in warehouse organization, including stacking pallets, managing storage areas, and ensuring a clean work environment.
• Support warehouse supervision with tasks related to warehouse distribution, order fulfillment, and process improvements.
• Pick orders, breakdown pallets, and stage per order

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, or related roles.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations.
• Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control.
• Prior experience with materials handling in construction or industrial environments is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management.
