American Liquidations specializes in selling pallets of liquidation merchandise from major retailers including overstock, shelf pulls, open box, and returned items. Unlike a traditional warehouse, our locations are open to the public — customers can shop individual items or purchase full pallets directly from the floor.

Position Overview

We are currently hiring a General Warehouse / Customer Service Associate to join our Waterbury team. This role is primarily warehouse-focused while also assisting customers in a retail-style environment.

This is a hands-on role that blends warehouse work with customer interaction. You will help maintain an organized warehouse floor, assist customers with purchases, and operate a register when needed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working with a team, and interacting with customers throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

· Receive, sort, and organize incoming merchandise and pallets

· Stock and maintain warehouse floor to ensure products are accessible and presentable

· Assist customers with questions, product location, and purchases

· Operate a cash register and handle transactions accurately

· Help load merchandise or pallets for customers when needed

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment

· Support general warehouse operations including moving, staging, and consolidating product

· Work collaboratively with team members and managers to keep operations running smoothly

· Follow company safety procedures and operational guidelines

Must Have

· Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

· Comfortable working on your feet in a warehouse environment

· Positive attitude and willingness to help both team members and customers

· Basic math and cash handling ability

· Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed

· Reliable transportation to Waterbury, CT

· Team player mindset — willing to jump in wherever needed

Nice to Have

· Previous warehouse or retail experience

· Experience using a register or handling customer transactions

· Familiarity with liquidation, resale, or discount retail environments

· Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Schedule & Availability

· Part-time: Approximately 20 hours per week

· Shifts scheduled between 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

· Must have flexibility to work weekdays and weekends

Compensation & Benefits

· Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour
