Under the supervision of the Administrator/Prosecuting Attorney, produces criminal arrest warrants for police agencies in the County. Creates case files for the production of subpoenas and other court actions, and prepares misdemeanor OUIL ticket cases. Maintains data base of new laws and changes in current laws that affect warrant language. Responds to inquiries from assistant prosecutors, courts, police agencies and the general public.
Education: High school graduation, prefer some advanced college-level coursework in paralegal studies or related field.
Experience: A minimum of two years experience in a Prosecutor’s office or other legal setting providing familiarity with the judicial system. Knowledge of computer systems related to the Prosecutor’s system required.
Other Requirements: May be required to be a Certified Michigan State Police LEIN Operator.
Demonstrates effective communication skills by engaging, interacting and working with all individuals to ensure clarity and understanding in all interactions.
