Water Hygiene Technician

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Water Hygiene Technician to join a reputable organization in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out water hygiene monitoring, inspection, and maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and to maintain safe water systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspection, testing, and monitoring of water systems (including domestic water tanks, cooling towers, and associated pipework).
• Perform temperature checks, sampling, and analysis of water systems to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
• Carry out cleaning, disinfection, and chlorination of water tanks and systems as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all monitoring, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Report any non-compliance or system faults and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining water hygiene risk assessments and control schemes.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with company procedures and health and safety guidelines.
• Use appropriate PPE and tools for all tasks and ensure cleanliness and safety of work areas.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Technical / Vocational certificate or Diploma in Environmental Science, Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a Water Hygiene Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of water hygiene regulations, including Legionella control and water treatment processes.
• Experience with water sampling, testing equipment, and temperature monitoring.
• Ability to interpret technical reports and follow method statements and risk assessments.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
• Educational certificates should be MOFA-attested
• Locally available in Qatar with valid visa and QID.
