Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for reviewing and processing applications for grandfathered rights in the Douglas AMA, assisting in the administration of the conservation programs of the Active Management Areas (AMAs) Section, as described in the Management Plans; developing an accurate understanding of applicable laws, rules, statutes, policies and procedures in use by ADWR and communicating them to the regulated community and interested parties on a regular basis via written communication, phone call and meetings.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

This position requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Four (4) years of technical/paraprofessional level experience in water resource management oriented experience: Post-high school coursework, from an accredited institution, in a closely related field may substitute for the technical/paraprofessional experience; OR
Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR Any combination of training and experience that meets the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs)
Related field degrees may include planning, agricultural and/or natural resource management, environmental planning, agricultural and/or natural resource economics, or other related field
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements.

Retirement:
Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement system (ASRS). Please note, enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment. The current contribution rate is 12.00%.
