Water Tanker Driver – Light vehicle

Job Description

We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Water Tanker Driver for light vehicles to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our water distribution operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of water to various locations throughout the city.

• Operate light water tanker vehicles to transport and deliver water to designated locations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
• Follow established routes and schedules for water delivery
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance
• Operate water pumping equipment to fill and empty the tanker as required
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols while driving
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
• Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly
• Assist in basic vehicle maintenance tasks as needed
• Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the water tanker vehicle
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid light vehicle driving license with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a water tanker driver or in a similar role preferred
• Thorough knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
• Proficiency in operating water tanker equipment and performing basic vehicle maintenance
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication abilities in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
• Physical capability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and climbing
• Familiarity with water distribution systems and occupational health and safety practices preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
