Role Description

We are seeking a Wax Intern to join our fast-growing, client-focused esthetics studio. This internship is designed for a licensed esthetician or esthetics student seeking hands-on experience in professional waxing services within a structured, growth-oriented environment.

The Wax Intern will work closely with an experienced provider to develop technical skills, client care practices, and operational knowledge of a modern esthetics studio. This role offers the opportunity to gain practical training while contributing to a professional and welcoming client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional waxing services, including Brazilian and body waxing, in accordance with studio protocols
• Prepare clients for services and provide clear aftercare instructions
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized treatment room at all times
• Deliver a welcoming, discreet, and elevated client experience
• Accurately document services and client notes in the booking system
• Support rebooking efforts when appropriate
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Uphold brand standards, professionalism, and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina Esthetician License
• Entry-level candidates welcome; prior waxing experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and client comfort
• Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and coachable
• Comfortable working in a structured, fast-paced environment

Compensation & Incentives

• Interns who demonstrate strong performance, professionalism, and client service may be offered a Wax Specialist position with increased pay and commission upon completion of training.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
