WD2026 Media Scholarships for Conference in Australia (Fully Funded)

The WD2026 Media scholarship is designed for content creators and journalists who, without financial support, may not be able to attend the conference.

There are no country restrictions; applicants from all around the world are invited to submit their applications. Preference is given to the content creators who demonstrate focus in Human rights, climate justice, Development, or Oceania Pacific issues. The conference offers participants with lived experience of First Nations leaders, advocates from across the world. The scholarship offers comprehensive support that covers all the costs related to the conference, including Full Conference registration, round-trip airfare, Visa Fees, Travel insurance, accommodation, and more. Applicants fulfilling the following criteria are invited to submit their applications for the WD2026 Media Scholarships:

• Media Scholarship is open to all nationals
• The program is inviting applications from applicants working in the media sector, including:
  • Producers, presenters/anchors, and reporters
  • Videographers, broadcast team, and photo journalists
  • Podcast Journalists and newsroom visual teams
  • Freelancers
  • Independent content creator covering social issues

Preference will be given to:

• Early career content creators who have previously not received the "Women Deliver Conference Scholarship"
• Content creators demonstrated focus on human rights, health, development, climate justice, and Oceania Pacific issues

The WD2026 scholarship offers generous support, and the coverage includes:

• Full Conference Registration costs
• Hotel Accommodation for the duration of the program

The applications are evaluated by the WD2026 team in consultation with regional partners. The selection is based on the evidence of professional journalism & alignment of audience with WD2026 theme.

The shortlisted applicants will be notified of the result via email by November 2025.
