Job Overview:.

Mecum Auctions is looking for an entry-level Web Content Coordinator to help keep Mecum.com updated, organized, and accurate. This role focuses on building and updating pages using our existing WordPress componenets--no coding or development work requiried.

You'll spend your workday in WordPress--adding content, updating pages, uploading images and documents, and carefully checking everything before it goes live. You'll work closely with our Website Content Manager and UX/UI Desginer to bring designs into Wordpress using tools that already exist.

The Web Content Cooridnator is responsible for maintaining accurate, well-organized, and visually consistent website content by making hands-on update in WordPress. This positin requires strong attention to detail, high accuracy, and the ability to work independently on structured digital tasks. The role includes building and updating pages, organizing content, and ensuring quality and consistency across the site while working closely with the Website Content Manager and the UX/UI designer to bring designs and content to life in alignment with brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Content & Page Updates

• Build new pages and update existing ones in WordPress using existing components
• Add text, images, links, PDFs, and videos
• Make sure content is accurate, formatted correctly, and easy to read
• Proof your own work before publishing
• Archive old pages and keep the site organized

Implementing Designs

• Using existing designs
• Recreate page layouts from the UX/UI Designer in WordPress
• Follow existing templates and page patterns (no building new components)
• Ensure pages look good on desktop, tablet, and mobile

Site Upkeep

• Fix broken links or small layout issues when noticed
• Set up basic redirects when pages are removed or changed (training provided if needed)
• Keep media files organized

Collaboration

• Work with the Website Content Manager to publish content and structure pages.
• Work with the UX/UI Designer to correctly implement design layouts.
• Coordinate with the SEO team when updates affect search results or redirects.
• Share progress, ask questions, and flag issues early.

What We're Looking For:

• Basic WordPress experience (Gutenberg preferred)
• Comfortable working on a computer all day
• Very detail-oriented and proud of doing things right
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Organized, reliable, and a clear communicator
• Basic familiarity with simple SEO tasks, such as page updates or redirects, is helpful but not required.
• No coding or developer experience is needed — all page components already exist and are ready to use.
