Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Freelance/Part-Time Web Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of our educational platforms. This role involves creating user-friendly, secure, and scalable solutions while collaborating with our growing team of educators and technologists.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, mobile-friendly web pages and applications.
• Ensure platform security and data protection in compliance with best practices.
• Collaborate with the design and content teams to create interactive learning modules.
• Optimize website performance, loading speed, and SEO.
• Integrate third-party tools such as payment gateways, video hosting, and LMS plugins.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems when needed.
• Maintain clear documentation of code and workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Freelance/Part-Time Web Developer.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
• Backend experience with Node.js, PHP, or Python/Django (any is acceptable).
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL).
• Experience working with WordPress or other CMS is a plus.
• Strong understanding of web security practices (SSL, authentication, data protection).
• Knowledge of API integrations (payment gateways, LMS tools, analytics, etc.).
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

• Prior work experience in EdTech platforms or e-learning systems.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning standards.
• UI/UX design awareness for creating learner-friendly interfaces.
• Version control experience (Git/GitHub).
