Seeking a web developer who specializes in WordPress, search engine marketing, and Google Analytics to build, optimize, and maintain high-performing websites that drive measurable results. This role blends hands-on development with data-driven marketing and performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, build, and maintain responsive WordPress websites using themes, page builders, and custom code (HTML, CSS, basic PHP/JavaScript as needed). Web design is a bonus!
- Implement and update plugins, ensure site security, performance, and compatibility, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Optimize site structure, speed, and UX for SEO and conversions (landing pages, forms, funnels).
- Plan and manage search engine marketing campaigns (primarily Google Ads), including keyword research, ad creation, bid management, and ongoing optimization.
- Prefer Google knowledge to set up and maintain Google Analytics (preferably GA4), Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking for web and campaign performance.
- Monitor key metrics (traffic, engagement, conversions, cost per lead, etc.) and produce clear reports with actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with content, design, and marketing teams to support campaigns, launches, and A/B testing.
- Stay current on WordPress updates, SEO best practices, SEM trends, and analytics changes to continually improve performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience developing and managing WordPress websites (portfolio or live site examples required).
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals (on-page, technical, and basic off-page).
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
- Experience managing and optimizing Google Ads or other paid search campaigns.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic PHP/JavaScript for customizing WordPress sites.
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into clear recommendations and next steps.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with landing page optimization and A/B testing tools.
- Familiarity with other analytics or marketing platforms (e.g., Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, HubSpot, Mailchimp).
- Basic design skills (Canva, Figma, or Adobe tools) for minor visual updates and assets.
