Web Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled, creative, and detail-oriented Web Developer to design, develop, optimise, and maintain modern company websites. This is a fully remote role supporting our growing organisation and UK-based clients.

You will be responsible for building fast, secure, visually appealing, and user-friendly websites while ensuring excellent performance across all devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality, responsive websites from concept to deployment
• Convert UI/UX designs into fully functional web pages
• Maintain, update, and improve existing websites
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
• Implement SEO best practices, including on-page optimisation and technical SEO
• Optimise website performance for speed, scalability, and security
• Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and tools
• Collaborate closely with design, marketing, and content teams
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Manage hosting, backups, updates, and website security patches
• Ensure compliance with UK data protection standards (GDPR awareness)

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands-on experience with WordPress (custom themes & plugins) or other CMS platforms
• Experience with PHP and MySQL
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks/libraries (such as React, Vue, or jQuery)
• Experience with responsive design frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.)
• Understanding of technical SEO, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals
• Familiarity with Git/version control systems
• Knowledge of website performance optimisation tools (GTmetrix, PageSpeed, etc.)
• Experience with web hosting environments, cPanel, FTP, and DNS management

Required Experience & Soft Skills:

• Proven experience as a Web Developer with a strong, verifiable portfolio
• Strong eye for design, layout, and user experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
