Web Developer & Technical Maintenance Lead

Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time in-house Web Developer & Technical Maintenance Lead who will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and expanding our WordPress-based web portal. This role bridges technical development and operational stability — ensuring our platform remains functional, secure, and scalable as new products and features are introduced. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in WordPress development, front-end design, and basic DevOps/maintenance skills to manage hosting, backups, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Development & Maintenance:

• Maintain and update the company’s WordPress-based website, ensuring uptime, performance, and security
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues (e.g., plugin conflicts, site downtime, broken links)
• Manage website hosting, SSL, backups, and domain-related tasks
• Optimize website speed and ensure cross-device and browser compatibility

Technical Oversight & Documentation:

• Maintain proper documentation of website architecture, plugin usage, and maintenance routines
• Provide periodic technical reports on performance, security, and updates
• Manage staging environments and version control for future development

Feature Enhancements:

• Work with management and the design team to implement new features and improve user experience (UX/UI)
• Develop or customize WordPress plugins and themes as required
• Integrate payment gateways, analytics tools, and APIs related to subscription management
• Support the deployment of new research products, ensuring seamless integration into the website

Collaboration:

• Coordinate with designers to translate creative ideas into functional web elements
• Work with researchers to upload and structure research reports and digital content
• Support the management team with insights on improving user engagement through technical means

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 1–3 years of experience in WordPress development and maintenance
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
• Experience with WordPress theme and plugin customization
• Familiarity with hosting control panels (cPanel, Plesk, etc.), domain management, and SSL setup
• Basic understanding of website security, SEO best practices, and Google Analytics
• Knowledge of responsive design principles and UX/UI improvements
• Familiarity with WooCommerce and integration of payment gateway

Preferred (Bonus) Skills:

• Familiarity with Elementor, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and Paid Memberships Pro
• Knowledge of basic server management
• Exposure to data visualization tools or interactive dashboards is a plus

Compensation & Type:

• Type: Part-time (on-site and remote)
• Salary: Competitive, based on experience and capability
• Probation Period: 3 months

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Rs75,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 4 per week
