Role Overview

The Web Development Manager will hold end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of web development projects. This role combines technical leadership with managerial oversight, ensuring quality, scalability, and timely execution. The manager will act as the technical bridge between Sales, Marketing, and Development, driving alignment across business and technology functions.

This is not a purely coding role; it demands ownership, leadership, and strategic accountability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Delivery Management

• Lead and manage developers specializing in:

• WordPress Development

• Shopify Development

• Laravel Development

• React / Next.js Development

• E-commerce & Custom Web Solutions

• Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of projects

• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices

• Mentor junior developers and foster a high-performance culture

2. Project Ownership & Client Delivery

• Translate business requirements into clear technical execution plans

• Collaborate with:

• Sales Team: Provide pre-sales technical clarity

• Marketing Team: Ensure SEO-friendly and CRO-ready builds

• Guarantee:

• Performance-optimized websites

• Responsive, scalable, and secure builds

• Proper documentation and handovers

• Handle escalations related to technical issues or delivery risks

3. Server, Hosting & DevOps Oversight

• Manage and monitor hosting environments (shared, VPS, cloud)

• Oversee website servers and databases

• Coordinate with DevOps for:

• CI/CD pipelines

• Staging and production deployments

• Backup, uptime, and security practices

• Ensure smooth deployment of:

• Web applications

• E-commerce platforms

• SaaS interfaces

4. Quality, Security & Performance Control

• Enforce standards for:

• Page speed optimization

• Security best practices

• Code scalability and maintainability

• Collaborate with QA/testing teams to ensure:

• Bug-free releases

• Cross-browser and cross-device compatibility

• Maintain accountability for the technical quality of all deliverables

5. Process, Systems & Continuous Improvement

• Build and refine development workflows, SOPs, and documentation

• Implement version control processes

• Recommend tools, frameworks, and optimizations to:

• Reduce delivery time

• Improve quality

• Enhance team productivity

• Support the CEO in strategic technical decision-making

Required Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in:

• WordPress (custom themes/plugins)

• Shopify (themes, apps, performance optimization)

• Laravel

• React / Next.js

• Understanding of:

• REST APIs and integrations

• Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL basics)

• Web security fundamentals

• Exposure to:

• Cloud hosting environments

• CI/CD workflows

• Basic DevOps coordination

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
