Position Summary
Joplin RV is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Website and Social Media Manager. This person will be responsible for managing the dealership's online presence, primarily focusing on the visual content pipeline for the RV inventory on our website and generating engaging content for all social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for photography, videography, excellent writing skills, and a deep understanding of digital marketing trends, particularly within the RV industry.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Photography & Website Management:
- RV Photography: Capture high-quality, professional-grade photographs of all new and used RV inventory, including exterior, interior, and key features.
- Photo Editing & Preparation: Edit and optimize images (cropping, lighting, color correction) to meet website specifications and ensure a consistent, appealing look.
- Website Uploads: Accurately upload and manage the photographic inventory to the company website and third-party listing sites (e.g., RV Trader), ensuring rapid turnaround from arrival on the lot to online posting.
- Website Content: Assist with basic updates, maintenance, and quality control of the website's content, ensuring all listings are current, accurate, and appealing.
Social Media Content Creation & Management:
- Content Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, generate leads, and engage our target audience.
- Content Production: Create and curate high-quality, original, and engaging content (photos, short videos, graphics, text posts) specifically tailored for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Content themes include RV features, lifestyle, customer stories, maintenance tips, events, and promotions.
- Posting & Scheduling: Manage the content calendar and schedule posts across all social media channels, ensuring consistent daily/weekly activity.
- Community Management: Monitor all social media channels, respond promptly and professionally to comments and messages, and foster a positive online community.
- Live Coverage: Capture and post real-time content from dealership events, sales, and new arrivals.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Track, analyze, and report on website traffic, social media engagement, and campaign performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Use data to refine content strategies and optimize online spend (if applicable for boosted posts/ads).
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience in professional photography and photo editing, preferably for products or inventory.
- Demonstrated experience managing professional business accounts on major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to capture the company's voice.
- Proficiency with photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or equivalent mobile/desktop apps).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions to photograph RV inventory.
Preferred (A Plus):
- Experience with basic video production and editing for social media (e.g., Reels, TikTok).
- Familiarity with website Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress or dealer-specific platforms.
- Knowledge of the RV industry or large retail product sales (e.g., automotive, marine, powersports).
- Basic knowledge of SEO and digital advertising principles.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb in and out of various types of RVs for photography purposes.
- Ability to lift and carry photography equipment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
