We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and responsible Scoop Technician to drive from site to site, cleaning dog waste from residential and commercial yards and properties. You will work independently with minimal supervision and represent the Scoop Happens brand while interacting with customers. Tools, equipment, supplies, and routes are provided. Uniform hats and shirts are issued; employees will provide their own pants, coats, safe footwear, and a working smartphone capable of running company-required software to perform job duties (including routing and communication).

We are looking for long-term, committed employees who want to grow with the company. This role will begin part-time, with new technicians assisting on a weekend route during the training period. Following that, you will be given a weekday route to manage yourself, with the goal of transitioning into a full-time, Monday–Friday position in the coming months as routes grow. We provide complete training to set you up for success. You just need to love dogs, have a positive attitude, be friendly and professional with clients, reliable, punctual, and willing to work hard.

You will be working independently, with little direct supervision. Please understand that working outdoors means working in all weather conditions unless conditions are unsafe. Unless there is thunder and lightning, deep snow, or other hazardous conditions, we will be working in rain, snow, heat, and cold. By the nature of the job, you will regularly handle pet waste using scooping tools and waste bags. There is some odor and exposure to natural outdoor elements that come with the work.

Must love dogs of all kinds and be comfortable working around dogs daily. While we do not service properties with known aggressive dogs, you will regularly interact with excited dogs that may bark, jump, or seek attention.

This position requires a significant amount of walking, bending, and lifting, as well as driving between service locations throughout the day. The work can be physically demanding and fast-paced, as routes must be completed efficiently while maintaining high-quality service. Staying on schedule while providing excellent service to our clients and completing the job thoroughly and professionally is imperative.

The ideal candidate is honest, hard-working, clean, and efficient, and enjoys working outdoors. Employees must be able to read, write, and follow detailed instructions, communicate clearly with clients and the office, and maintain strong attention to detail to ensure quality work at every visit. Employees must be comfortable using GPS-based routing and company-required mobile software to perform job duties.

A good sense of humor, positive attitude, and pleasant disposition are important. It’s poop scooping after all. While the work can be physically demanding, we have a great team and loyal clients, and we take pride in delivering excellent customer service and a job well done.

Due to the high number of applications we receive, we will contact candidates who appear to be the best fit for the position.
