Weekend Dog Walker / Cat Care

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Weekend Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong commitment to providing excellent care for dogs of various breeds and sizes. As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of our furry clients while providing them with the exercise and socialization they need. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy spending time outdoors and have experience in pet care.

Duties

• Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Cat Care and sometimes birds and rabbits
• Provide basic training commands during walks to reinforce good behavior.
• Monitor each dog's health and behavior during walks, reporting any concerns to the owner.
• Maintain a positive and engaging environment for the dogs, encouraging play and interaction.
• Ensure all dogs are leashed securely and follow safety protocols at all times.
• Clean up after dogs during walks to maintain cleanliness in public spaces.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and behavior.

Experience

• Previous experience in pet care or animal handling is required.
• Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus.
• Experience as a veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or in a kennel setting is beneficial.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential.

Must have a working cell phone to run the walking app, reliable transportation and we background check. This is a contractor position.
