Welder

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Welder role in Sherwood. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW) welding on steel, aluminum, and other metals.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment, torches, and power tools for various applications.
• Fabricate, cut, and assemble metal components according to engineering and production requirements .
• Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity , making adjustments as needed.
• Operate grinders, plasma cutters, and other metalworking tools to prepare and finish welded parts.
• Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and quality control teams to meet production goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Welder in heavy equipment, structural, or industrial manufacturing .
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding .
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and schematics .
• Experience working with structural steel, sheet metal, and industrial components .
• Knowledge of weld testing procedures , including visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and overhead welding .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Welding certification (AWS, ASME, or similar) preferred.
• Experience in heavy equipment or large-scale structural fabrication .
• Familiarity with robotic welding systems and CNC cutting machines is a plus.
