Lawson Cryogenic Manufacturing & Repair LLC is a leader in the repair and maintenance of cryogenic and industrial gas equipment. Incorporated in 2016, Lawson Cryogenic has grown from one location with three technicians in Baytown, TX to two locations with 35+ employees in 2026. The opening of our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Gretna, NE in fall of 2025 was a key step in Lawson Cryogenic’s growth and commitment to expanding its product offerings.

Due to the company’s continued growth, we are seeking highly skilled and motivated Welders to join our dynamic fabrication and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating structural steel components for cryogenic tanker trailers and related pressure vessels, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications. You must be skilled in advanced welding techniques and have a deep understanding of the materials used, particularly those that are cryogenic resistant.

Duties

  • Perform welding and fabrication of structural steel components according to blueprints and project requirements.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work meets DOT, OSHA, and company regulations, including testing, purging, and certifying vessels.
  • Welding: Perform welding on aluminum, stainless, and carbon steel components, using a variety of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
  • Inspection: Ensure the structural integrity and quality of welded joints meets company standards.
  • Document time and/or job completion in manufacturing software program.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Conduct routing maintenance and repairs on welding equipment as needed.
  • Operate host and cranes.

Experience

  • Experienced TIG/MIG welder with excellent mechanical/fabrication skills.
  • Must be able to TIG/MIG stainless steel and carbon steel.
  • Pipe welding a plus.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Solid work history.
  • Experience with cryogenic systems, vacuum technology, or specialized trailer maintenance preferred.
  • NTTC Cargo Tank Test & Inspection Training Certificate a plus.
  • High School diploma/equivalent.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
