Welder

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety on construction sites. The Welder will be responsible for creating high-quality welds on metal components, ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and piping.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct fabrication tasks including assembly of components and ductwork installation.
• Forklifts for material handling as needed.
• Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during all welding processes.
• Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure precision in work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members on projects requiring rigging and mechanical knowledge.

Requirements

• Proven experience in welding, preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, Stick welding, and soldering.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication processes.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
• Experience with pipe threading, plasma cutting, press brake machines, machining, and assembly is preferred.
