We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Buckie to work on a range of vessels for the fishing, oil, salmon and windfarm industries. The successful candidate will preferably have some previous marine experience but this is not essential. The Welder will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components using various welding techniques.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and weld metal parts using Stick welding and other welding techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications.
- Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, and weld metal components.
- Inspect welded structures to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Fabricate and repair metal structures as needed.
- Work with sheet metal to create precise components.
- Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
Working as part of a team the successful candidate will be organised with a strong attention to detail as well as having strong customer service skills. You must be conscientious, proactive, reliable and motivated.
Core hours of work are Monday to Friday 8 a.m. until 4.30 p.m. but the ability to be flexible is desired.
