Welder

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks on amusement park rides and structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality welds.
• Select appropriate welding equipment, tools, and materials based on the project requirements.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping as needed.
• Set up and operate welding machines and equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct inspections and tests to assess the quality and integrity of welded components.
• Repair and rework welded parts as necessary to meet quality standards.
• Follow welding procedures and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure proper welding techniques and structural integrity.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspection results.
• Stay updated on welding techniques, industry standards, and safety practices.
• Train and mentor junior welders as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Welder, preferably in the amusement park rides industry.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
• Strong knowledge of welding principles, procedures, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Familiarity with different types of metals and their welding characteristics.
• Skilled in operating welding machines, tools, and equipment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality welds.
• Good physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks in various positions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
