Welder and fabricator

Job Overview
Due to our team member going travelling, we have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our bespoke metal fabrication team, specialising in customising and outfitting vehicles, primarily 4x4s and camper conversions. We fabricate and outfit vehicles for business and leisure purposes, including 4x4 overland expeditions. We are looking for a part time, self employed welder/fabricator.

The job will include, but not limited to:
* Fabricating aluminium canopies, tray backs and roof racks.
* TIG and MIG welding and fit up
* Steel and aluminium tube work
* Stainless steel exhaust fabrication
* Custom vehicle building

An interest in building off road and working vehicles would be an advantage. TIG and MIG welding experience is required, as well as previous general fabrication work. Candidates should possess strong mechanical knowledge and be comfortable working with various hand and power tools, as well as being able to work independently and to a high standard.

Responsibilities and required skills
* Execute TIG and MIG welding techniques to join metal components to a high standard
* Fabricate parts and structures using sheet and tubular metal, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met
* Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials
* Perform basic measurements and calculations to ensure precise assembly and fitting of components
* Maintain a clean, organised workspace adhering to safety protocols at all times
* Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures
* Conduct quality inspections on completed work to ensure compliance

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: £12.21-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 – 27 per week
