Fleming Trailers is seeking an entry-level Welder Apprentice to join our team in Glendale, AZ. This role is designed for individuals with mechanical aptitude who are interested in learning MIG welding and fabrication in a production environment. The Welder Apprentice will support experienced welders and fabricators while developing hands-on skills and shop knowledge.

Our national teams work closely with customers to deliver custom, practical solutions for industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with MIG welding and fabrication of trailers and ramps in a production environment
  • Learn basic welding techniques, shop practices, and safety procedures
  • Support material preparation including cutting, grinding, and cleaning
  • Assist with assembly of trailer components and general shop tasks
  • Operate hand tools and basic shop equipment safely
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow direction from supervisors and experienced welders
  • Other duties may be assigned as business needs evolve

What You Bring

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn welding and fabrication skills
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a production shop environment
  • Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
  • Strong reliability, work ethic, and attention to detail
  • Willingness to be trained on forklifts and shop equipment

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a shop or manufacturing environment

Work Schedule

  • Regular 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday

Pay & Benefits

  • $16–$18 per hour, depending on experience
