D&B operates four asphalt plants and two active sand and gravel plants and is a natural extension to our recently established Southeast platform, further strengthening our vertically integrated footprint.

General Summary

This is an entry level welder position that requires a basic knowledge of welding: laying out metal components, cutting, fabricating and welding metal together to repair tools and equipment.

Essential Job Accountabilities

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools.
Produce metal products according to specifications. (Carbon)
Use multiple welding machines to repair and maintain metal equipment and structures of various sizes. (Arc, MIG)
Read and interpret diagrams, sketches and blueprints to determine operations, required materials and timeframes for projects.
Set up, operate and maintain welding equipment.
Follow safety measures including PPE.

Education

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience

Certification

Technical school certification preferred.

Work Experience

Minimum 1 years of experience of professional welding experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to read blueprints.
Proficient in basic math.
Working knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
Good communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
