Welder Fabricator

Job Title: Senior Steel Fabricator

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication details.
• Measure, mark, cut, drill, and prepare steel materials according to project specifications.
• Assemble and fabricate structural steel components, frames, platforms, staircases, handrails, and other metal structures.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as cutting machines, grinders, drill presses, band saws, and hydraulic tools.
• Perform fit-up work and prepare materials for welding.
• Ensure all fabricated components meet quality standards and dimensional tolerances.
• Conduct inspections of finished products and rectify fabrication defects when required.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with company safety procedures.
• Handle and move steel materials using cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment when authorized.
• Coordinate with welders, supervisors, and production teams to meet project deadlines.
• Follow company policies, fabrication procedures, and quality control requirements.
• Report material shortages, equipment issues, and production concerns to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in steel fabrication or structural steel works.
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings.
• Good knowledge of fabrication tools, measuring instruments, and workshop practices.
• Experience in structural steel, architectural metalwork, or industrial fabrication projects.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fabrication workshop environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
