Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic team as a Truck Builder. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding to join sheet metal, structural steel, and other materials with accuracy
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble components
- Fabricate parts from sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and other materials following ASME codes & standards
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely to move heavy materials and assemblies around the shop or construction sites
- Measure with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure parts meet specifications
- Conduct basic math calculations for measurements, angles, and material estimations during fabrication processes
- Assemble truck bodies and related components using mechanical knowledge and schematics while adhering to safety protocols
- Support construction site activities by preparing fabricated parts for installation on-site or in manufacturing environments
- Maintain a clean work area, inspect completed work for quality assurance, and document fabrication progress
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience or background in manufacturing or fabrication environments
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques; experience with <LOCATION> welding preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, calipers, micrometers, and other fabrication equipment
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, assembly processes, rigging operations, and ductwork installation
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and fabrication work
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during fabrication tasks
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely in a manufacturing or construction setting
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship and safety compliance

Pay: $23.52 - $32.00 per hour
