Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will help bring complex projects to life, ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and fabrication projects, utilizing your technical skills to create durable, high-quality structures and assemblies.

Duties

  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding and fitting requirements.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding techniques on various metals including sheet metal and pipe components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and press brake machines to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts accurately.
  • Fabricate ductwork, structural steel, piping systems, and other metal assemblies following ASME codes & standards.
  • Operate plasma cutters, machining equipment, and perform pipe threading to prepare materials for welding or assembly.
  • Conduct rigging and mechanical assembly tasks safely on construction sites or in manufacturing environments.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspect completed welds for quality assurance, and ensure compliance with safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site protocols.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques, and <LOCATION> specific welding standards.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Skilled in the use of calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Mechanical knowledge of rigging, pipe threading, machining processes, soldering techniques, and schematic interpretation.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to ductwork or structural steel fabrication is highly desirable.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Valid forklift certification is a plus; ability to operate forklifts safely on-site preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
