Welder Helper

Job Description: Job Description: This position is for a 2nd shift welder. Hours are: 3pm-1:30am, Mon-Thurs. Friday is a 10 hour shift and is mandatory right now.

Operate a NAP (universal Welder)

Must haves:

3-5 years welding and fabrication background Must be able to read tape measure

1 year Computer experience, Outlook/Email Good communication and teamwork

Perform specialty welding tasks on:

Spool pieces, flanges, etc.

All welds will be MIG.

Weld outlets onto carbon steel pipe.

Inspect work for defects,

Alignment of fittings

Checking the end groves for proper depth, Check for bad seems splits in pipe.

Maintain a clean and safe welding station while conforming to all the safety and quality standards.

Report all equipment malfunctions, safety issues that requires repairs.

General reading and writing as well as some computer skills. (all training is on online in workday.

This position is required to have a weld test performed during the interview. Please bring welding hood and PPE to perform weld test.

Weld test/interviews are a minimum of 2 hours on site.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
