Welder Helper/Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder Helper/Laborer to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing team. Responsibilities

• Support welders by preparing materials, including cutting, cleaning, and organizing components for welding tasks
• Assist with MIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and other welding processes as directed by senior team members
• Handle hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment safely and efficiently
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project specifications
• Perform basic measurements using calipers, schematics, and other measurement tools to ensure accuracy
• Aid in pipe bending, tube fabrication, and assembly of piping systems according to ASME codes & standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist in routine maintenance tasks on tools and equipment to ensure optimal operation
• Follow all safety guidelines related to welding, construction, pipeline work, and general labor activities

Qualifications

• Prior experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, TIG; familiarity with welding standards is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment
• Understanding of basic math concepts for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks
• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures diligently
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods; ability to lift heavy materials safely; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces as needed

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
