Welder II/Fabricator with Automated Sub Arc Welding Experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder II/Fabricator to join our team at G.W. Becker, Inc. (GWBI). The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating raw materials and components to create assemblies and crane parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols

• Weld metal components in various positions

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies

• Finish surfaces of material products and re-touch welds

• Examine finished work pieces for quality and defects

• Operate hand and power tools, including welding equipment

• Handle materials using forklifts and overhead cranes

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 2-5 years of related experience or training

• 3G and 4G FCAW welding certificate

• Valid driver's license and safe driving record

• Prior overhead crane experience preferred

• Strong understanding of welding equipment and accessories

• Flux Core Experience

• Automated Sub Arc Welding

Physical Demands:

• Frequently stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel

• Occasionally sit, climb, or balance

• Lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds regularly, and 25 pounds frequently
