Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of high-quality trailers, working from technical drawings and specifications to produce durable and industry-compliant products.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel to a high standard
• Fabricate and assemble trailer components including chassis, frames, and structural parts
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, drills, saws, and jigs
• Carry out quality checks to ensure all work meets company and safety standards
• Assist in the full build process from raw materials to finished trailers
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines
• Identify and report any faults, defects, or material issues

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator (preferably in trailer or heavy fabrication)
• Strong MIG welding skills
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Good knowledge of fabrication tools and workshop machinery
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good understanding of health & safety practices

Desirable Skills

• Experience in trailer manufacturing or similar industry
• Welding certifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Experience with structural steel or heavy-duty fabrication
• Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
