Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, assemble, and weld metal parts.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Operate fabrication machinery safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean work area.
• Conduct quality checks on completed welds and fabricated parts to meet industry standards.
• Assist in the assembly of finished products, ensuring proper fit and function.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working order through regular inspections and basic maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment for sheet metal work.
• Mechanical knowledge relevant to fabrication processes and assembly techniques.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and perform basic math calculations for measurements.
• Experience with welding safety procedures and adherence to health & safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Previous experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments is desirable but not essential.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
