Welder/Fabricator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and work with various materials. Duties

• Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on diverse materials, including sheet metal and structural components
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
• Assist in the assembly of components, ensuring all parts meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Conduct inspections of welded joints and fabricated structures for quality assurance
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively

Experience

• Proven experience in MIG welding and general fabrication within a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working equipment
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and basic maths for measurements and calculations
• Experience with assembly processes and working with various materials such as steel, aluminium, or other metals
• Familiarity with health and safety procedures related to welding and fabrication environments

Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
