As a Welder Fabricator, your primary responsibility is to fabricate and assemble metal structures and products by using various welding techniques and tools. This role requires proficiency in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and schematics to produce accurate welds and fabricated components. Attention to detail, precision, and adherence to safety protocols are crucial in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welding Operations: Perform welding tasks using different techniques such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welding to join metal components according to project specifications.
- Fabrication: Fabricate metal components and structures based on engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and precision in measurements and assembly.
- Material Preparation: Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and cutting using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect welded joints and fabricated components to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing regular inspections, and troubleshooting issues as necessary.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, fabricators, and supervisors, to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Problem-solving: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to welding and fabrication processes, proposing effective solutions to ensure project continuity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including project details, material usage, and time spent, to facilitate project tracking and reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on advancements in welding technologies and techniques, participating in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Additional vocational training or certification in welding and fabrication is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as a welder fabricator in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in welding techniques and fabrication processes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are essential.
- Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and precision in executing welding and fabrication tasks to meet quality standards and project requirements.
