Welder/Fabricator

Job Overview
We have an opportunity for a candidate who is seeking a stable, long-term opportunity in a well-established owner managed fabrication business. We are seeking a time served fabricator/welder to join our busy workshop in Aberdeen, AB11 9QQ. We provide fabrication, machining, and engineering services to Oil and Gas, Marine and Property industries in the North East of Scotland.

Duties

• Perform high quality fabrication and welding duties either in our workshop, or at clients’ premises/vessels
• Review and understand detailed engineering drawings
• Preferred experience in MMA, MIG & fabrication
• Ensure that equipment is safe to use, and is cleaned and stored correctly after use
• Carry out duties as directed by the workshop manager
• Work as a team to ensure client deadlines are met
• Comply with Seaward Marine Engineering’s QHSE policies and procedures

Other key points

• Position is permanent and full time
• We work 37 hours per week. Hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-3.30pm
• Competitive hourly pay rates, based on experience
• Overtime is available
