Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assisting other staff with machine assembling.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
• Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques with precision and adherence to safety standards.
• Use hand tools, power tools and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal parts.
• Read calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to ensure accurate dimensions and quality control.
• Fabricate sheet metal components and structural elements for various projects.
• Operate forklifts, and machining tools safely to move materials and assemble components efficiently.
• Follow ASME codes & standards for welding and fabrication processes while maintaining documentation of work performed.
• Assist with assembly tasks as needed on the manufacturing floor.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven fabrication/welding experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures.
• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and other fabrication equipment.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication processes.
• Experience working with sheet metal or structural steel is highly desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge including machining and schematics interpretation.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication tasks.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely. Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
