Welder/Fabricator

Summary:

This position will work with engineering drawings to weld/fabricate new structures or repair existing ones utilizing Spray Arc welding for structural components . The Welder/Fabricators are part of a team of other skilled workers, however, their duties are often performed with minimal supervision so Welder Fabricators must be comfortable working independently in a factory setting.

Essential Functions:

· QC at the source / check work before moving on to next routing

· Enforce the safety standards and policies for the fabrication department

· Cross train in other work centers as needed

Qualifications

· Prior experience in a similar role desired

· Knowledge of Spray Arc welding processes required

· Ability to read blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications

· Select and use the correct gas, rod or wire required for the application

· Ability to use variety of tools and equipment

· Strong attention to detail

· Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude

· Knowledge of industry safety practices

· Ability to work overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting or standing for long periods of time

· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.55 - $27.00 per hour
