Welder/Fabricator

We are a custom job shop that has been in business since 1978. We are looking for someone with good attention to detail to fill a full-time position as a welder/fabricator. General duties will include MIG welding and operating fabrication equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine weld specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment as needed (saw, shears, Bridgeport, rolls, brake press, PEMserter)
• Must be willing & able to learn how to operate equipment
• Utilize MIG and laser welding equipment to assemble and weld metal components.
• Perform shop math calculations to ensure accurate measurements.
• Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to safety protocols.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Skilled in MIG welding w/experience
• Must be willing and able to learn laser welding
• Must be able to check & hold tolerances while fitting and welding
• Set up & adjust equipment as needed for job
• Grind, clean, and blend welds
• Read drawings & tape measure (down to 1/32”) and do shop math
• Must be able to work independently & with other team members
• Must have good attention to detail
• Must have good time management skills
• On-site weld test will be required
• Must have driver's license

Hours:

• 7:30AM - 4:00PM
• Occasional overtime opportunity

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
