Welder/Fabricator - Sign Making

We are looking for a metal worker to join our small team in signage production.

In this role you will be expected understand drawings to fold and weld sheet metal to create signage. You will also need to cut and weld steel and aluminium section to create frameworks.

At Douglas Signs we make a wide range of signs for small business and large international brands including Harrods, Hotel Chocolat, Peloton and many more. We also manufacture a lot of large, industrial scale architectural signage. We fabricate most of our products in house. Working here involves a lot of communication with every part of the operation.

Job Title:

Welder/Fabricator

The Role:

You will be expected to work accurately to a drawing to fold sheet metal (including aluminium and stainless steel) using our hydraulic break press and guillotine. You will be required to weld (Both MIG and TIG welding), soft soldering would be a bonus. You will need to be able to cut and weld sections of steel and aluminium to create frameworks.

As we are a small team you will also be required to help out with other parts of signage production on occasion.

Skills:

MIG Welding, TIG welding, Using a break press, soft soldering.

Desirable Qualities:

Good sense of humour. Good communication skills. Attention to detail is required. Good time management, we work at a fast pace and the ability to organise your time for each task in order to meet deadlines is necessary.

Schedule:

Mon-Thurs: 8am-5pm

Friday: 8am-4:30pm

Overtime: As Required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
