MIG Welder/Fabricator – BAWCO Industries

* The first 2 weeks will be an evaluation period to see if applicant will work out in our facility

* Any missed days in the first 2 months will result in termination of employee

* Not tolerance for being late any time in that first 2 weeks, your employment will be terminated.

* Fitting metal to metal and welding is what we do, if you can not do this do not waste our time by applying, do not apply

* Pay Ranges from $18 - $35+ Per Hour, We will pay you based of what you are able to do, If you just graduated "Welding School" and come in Expecting the middle to upper part of that pay scale do not waste your time. You know little to nothing about welding or fitting. If you are willing to learn and build a career we would be happy to have you.

* It is hot outside, this is Texas. It is also hot inside the shop facility. If you have problems with working in the heat or cold as it does get cold for about 2 weeks here, do not apply we work year round regardless of weather temperature, Rain, Etc.

* We will have a quick test available that will include fitting and MIG Welding an evaluation will be made as soon as that testing task is completed.

* This is not seasonal work, this is full time employment at a shop facility, If you are a pipe welder for example that goes job to job and travels, we will not be able to pay you what you make traveling and Pipe welding. No need to waste your time applying if you are expecting that same pay scale.

* We are hiring same day for personnel that meet all the requirements and can fulfill the responsibilities listed in this Ad.

Job Responsibilities

MIG welding structural steel components

Flux Core welding

Some Stick Welding

Torch cutting

• Fabrication experience
• Repair welding on crane booms and heavy equipment
• Grinding, fitting, and prepping steel
• Reading tape measures and basic shop drawings
• Operating basic shop equipment (saws, grinders, torches)
• Maintaining clean and organized work areas
• Following safety procedures

Requirements

• MIG welding experience (2+ years preferred)
• Ability to weld vertical and overhead positions
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Must be reliable and show up on time
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Structural welding experience is a plus
• Stick welding experience is a bonus

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

• Heavy equipment repair welding
• Flux core experience
• Blueprint reading
