Welding Engineer

Summary

Welding Engineer is responsible to ensure all welding activities are meets acceptable quality standards. He also responsible to improve the welding processess to ensure higher quality products.

Job Description

1. Review Drawings and weld configurations

2. Supervise welding inspectors and welders.

3. Qualification WPS/PQR/WQT as required.

4. Prepare weld and NDE maps based on Codes, specification and drawings.

5. Submission of welding documents to client and resolve the comments.

Qualifications

1. BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Welding Engineering

2. Certificate of NDT Level-II (RT/UT/MT/PT/VT) and CSWIP 3.1

Preferred skills

1. Good knowledge in ASME quality control system

2. Well versed with ASME Sec IX, AWS D1.1 and BS EN ISO 15609

Work Experience

1. Minimum 3 years’ experience in ASME Fabrication shop as welding Engineer.
